Hi! I am a visual artist specializing in graphic illustrations and design. I am currently a freelance graphic artist for the clothing and accessories brand Alunig. I also have a brief background with TV animation.I am an enthusiastic learner. I try to absorb as much information that would help me improve my skills and actively search for ways to inspire and create.On days that I am not creating, I enjoy reading stories and watching musicals.I am currently based in Tuguegarao City.

ALUNIG

ALUNIG is a clothing and accessories brand that aims to unify the traditional and the contemporary through the design of the products. The brand takes inspiration from indigenous groups and their culture. Their process includes careful research of indigenous culture and the materials to be used. They advocate to sharing indigenous knowledge through contemporary means and raise social and environmental awareness and issues that indigenous groups fight for.

I wanted to create a theme that would blend well with the tropical aesthetic of the Philippines - lush with warm colors and natural elements. The stylescape aims to evoke a fresh and youthful feeling that would appeal to younger audiences. The use of negative space gives a cleaner and contemporary look that won't overwhelm the audience.
In the process of arranging the different elements, balance was crucial. Tropical and clean felt like two ends of a spectrum, too much of the tropical theme would end up making the brand feel tacky and jungle-like while going for too much 'clean' will make it boring and misaligned. I let the images speak for itself and added minimal design elements to keep the composition interesting.

SWEETSTART

Sweetstart is a cafe serving home made baked goods. It is run by a small family in a local town and their customers mostly consist of students from nearby schools. The environment is casual and fun with a hint of retro vibes. It is the perfect place to hang out with friends, go on dates, or just chill on your own.
